Singapore-based Data Chord to deliver applied data science and cybersecurity analytics certification programme at Saigon Technology University
Singapore — May, 4th 2026 — Data Chord, a Singapore-based data science, artificial intelligence, and professional training and certification company, is pleased to announce a pioneering initiative with Saigon Technology University (STU) through its International Training Program Center (ITPC) to deliver the internationally-accredited Professional Certificate in Data Science — PCiDS™ (Cybersecurity) training and certification programme at STU in Vietnam.

As cybersecurity threats become increasingly data-driven, organisations need professionals who can do more than understand security tools. They need people who can interpret logs, detect suspicious patterns, analyse cyber incidents, communicate risks, and use AI responsibly in support of human judgment.
The PCiDS™ (Cybersecurity) programme is designed to meet this need.
Delivered at Saigon Technology University through ITPC, the programme will provide learners with practical exposure to cybersecurity analytics, data science methods, AI-supported investigation, and professional reporting. Participants will work with cybersecurity scenarios involving log analysis, anomaly detection, threat interpretation, evidence-based findings, and ethical decision-making. The programme will also include training aligned with the Certified Ethical Hacker pathway, supporting learners who wish to further develop their capabilities in ethical hacking, cybersecurity assessment, and professional cyber defence.
The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to developing future-ready digital talent in Southeast Asia. By combining Data Chord’s applied training and internationally-accredited certification framework, STU’s academic track record in Ho Chi Minh City, and ITPC’s international training platform, the programme aims to support students, early-career professionals, and working adults seeking career-relevant skills in cybersecurity, data science, and AI-assisted analysis.
The PCiDS™ (Cybersecurity) programme places strong emphasis on workplace readiness. Learners will not only be introduced to technical concepts, but will also be expected to analyse data, explain patterns, justify recommendations, and present cybersecurity findings in a professional format. As part of the assessment process, learners are also required to complete a viva voce: a rigorous 45-minute oral defence of their submitted work, during which they must explain, justify, and stand behind their analysis, findings, and recommendations.
The programme is expected to contribute to the growing demand for talent who can operate across cybersecurity, analytics, digital risk, and business-facing technology roles. Enrolment has begun, with the first batch expected to commence training in September 2026. Scholarships are offered to high-performing individuals on a case-by-case basis.
